The incumbent leadership of the National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) has denounced the earlier announced appointment of an interim committee.

The committee was introduced to the media as being responsible for organising the 2024 NUDO Congress, and would, in the meantime, "be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the party and all necessary arrangements for the Congress, including the compilation of the list of delegates, submission of required reports, ensuring that those branches that launched complaints with the previous leadership are in good standing, and scheduling the Congress within the next three weeks."

NUDO President Utjiua Muinjangue has, however, dismissed the existence of the committee, saying the party remains under her leadership.
