Preparations for the fourth edition of the Kavango Super Cup Festival are well on track as the competition kicks off last weekend in the riverside town of Rundu.
Regarded as one of the fastest-growing sporting events in the region and now making waves across the country, the Kavango Super Cup Festival is an annual event that showcases multiple sports disciplines.
Public Relations and Communication Officer for the competition, Rosvitha Ghunonga, highlighted that there has been a notable increase in team registrations, and the organizing committee is striving to be as inclusive as possible.
She also shared insights into the festival's current and future plans.
Men's and women's football, netball, and volleyball are among the festival's main attractions.
The festival will take place in different phases over two weekends, starting with netball and women's football on August 29. This will be followed by a gospel concert on August 31. Volleyball and men's football are set to be held from September 6 to 8, 2024.
All matches will be hosted at the Rundu Sport Stadium, while the gospel concert will take place at the Rundu Trade Fair Centre, just a stone's throw from the stadium.
