In the heart of Namibia's vast and rugged Namib Desert, the Namibia Endurance Desert Challenge showcased a gripping equestrian event where riders and horses faced the ultimate test of endurance.

Over 60 riders from Namibia and South Africa gathered to push their limits, with 12 competing in the FEI international competition. Covering distances from 20 to 120 kilometres, participants navigated extreme conditions and tough terrain while ensuring their horses' well-being. 

The competition, set against the breathtaking Namib Desert, tested stamina and skill. Riders faced soft sand, rocky outcrops, and extreme temperatures, making the event a true trial of endurance and the partnership between horse and rider. 

Divided into various categories based on distance and rider experience, the race included strict veterinary checks to ensure horses' health.

This year's event celebrated Namibia's natural beauty and promoted sustainable equestrian practices.
