The 3rd Edition of the National Youth Games is set for September 12th to 14th in the Oshana Region. Over two thousand athletes will take part in the tournament.

Sport Producer Victorine Kaaronda sat down with the Chief Administrator of the Namibia Sports Commission, Freddy Mwiya, who shared an update on the upcoming event.

Organized by the Namibia Sports Commission in conjunction with the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service, the Third edition of the National Youth Games will be hosted in the Oshana region from September 12th to 14th. Twelve sports codes will be featured, although three of those will be played in Windhoek.

A total amount of N$6 million has been invested in the upcoming youth games.

2100 athletes and 600 officials are expected to be part of the Youth Games, which will serve as a talent identification platform for the national team.
