The Otjombinde Education Forum in the Omaheke Region, with the assistance of local teachers, spent two weeks with a group of Grade 11 learners from different schools within the constituency and other regions, preparing them for the national examination.
The Chairperson of the Otjombinde Education Forum, Gotty Kavezepa, stressed that education requires a multifaceted approach, and as community members, they took it upon themselves to assist the directorate of education to prepare learners for the national examination during the holiday school.
Kavezepa also highlighted that next year the forum will work hard to bring on board various subject experts.
A member of the coaching team, Wilson Hange, says if resources permit, these kinds of initiatives need to be taken to all constituencies in the region to produce better academic results.
Hange was pleased with the dedication shown by the learners who took part in sessions.
Otjombinde Farmer, Karii Kandjou, reminded the learners about the importance of education and implored parents too to play their part.
