DTS Sports Club held a send-off for four of its youth soccer teams, who will represent Namibia at the prestigious Kapstadt Cup in South Africa. 

The international youth football festival, sanctioned by the South African Football Association, CAF, and FIFA, will see the U9, U10, U12, and U16 teams compete for bragging rights while carrying the hopes of their club and country.

The DTS Sports Club community gathered to bid farewell to their youth soccer teams, who are set to compete in the much-anticipated Kapstadt Cup.

The tournament, known for its competitive nature, will pit Namibian teams against top youth teams from across the region.

"We've worked hard for this moment, and the boys are ready. It's a fantastic opportunity for them to gain international experience and showcase their skills." head coach Oliver Risser said.

The excitement and dedication were evident as the young players received final words of encouragement from their coaches and supporters.

The Kapstadt Cup promises to be a challenging test, but the teams are optimistic and well-prepared.

U/12 coach Roy Modise said, "We've had intense training sessions leading up to this, focusing on teamwork, strategy, and individual development."

For the players, this is more than just a tournament—it's a dream come true.

The excitement was palpable as many players experienced their first international competition.

"I'm really excited to be a part of the team going to the Kapstadt Cup. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." Jayden Neels said.

As they depart for South Africa, these young players carry with them the hopes of their families, coaches, and nation.

The Kapstadt Cup runs from 2-6 October, and the DTS teams will face some of the toughest competition on the continent.

All eyes will be on the DTS youth teams as they represent Namibia on this grand stage.
