'We can do it. Disability is not inability."

These were the words of Josef Sheema, a person with a disability who walked six kilometres from B1 City People's Mall Katutura to the National Museum of Namibia in support of people with disabilities.

People with disabilities have the same rights and dignity as everyone else, and they should be given the same respect and equal opportunities in education, employment, and social services.

Sheema, a Manager for Private Banking at Standard Bank and an independent economic and business researcher, walked up to six kilometres to raise awareness for individuals with disabilities.

Sheema is confident that although only four people took part in this walk, it yielded positive results.

The walk was also meant to encourage people with disabilities to contribute to the shaping of a better society and advocate for their rights and inclusion.
