The Omake Charity Organisation joined the world in commemorating World Cerebral Palsy Day.
The commemoration is aimed at raising awareness about the condition as it affects millions of people worldwide.
Cerebral palsy is a group of neurological disorders that affect movement, muscle tone, and motor skills.
It is caused by damage to the brain, often occurring before, during, or shortly after birth.
There is currently no cure for cerebral palsy, but a variety of treatments and interventions can improve quality of life and help individuals manage their medical condition.
Omake Charity Organisation has about 50 children with cerebral palsy registered.
The organisation had a breakfast engagement with people with cerebral palsy courtesy of Santam and FNB Namibia.
Otjiwarongo Municipality has allocated a plot to the organisation to set up a soup kitchen and counselling office for people with conditions such as cerebral palsy.
The day was commemorated under the theme #UniquelyCP.
