A 33-year-old woman who stands accused of distributing nude photos of a 31-year-old radio presenter has been granted bail of N$2,000 this morning at the Oshakati Magistrate's Court.

Hilia Shikongeni faces a string of restrictions attached to her bail conditions, which are that she doesn't contact the victim directly or indirectly, does not commit similar offence whilst out on bail, maintains 300 metres from the complainant, and does not interfere with police investigations or state witnesses.

She faces two charges of the transmission of indecent material and criminal defamation.

Shikongeni is married to a well-known politician from an opposition party.

The case has been postponed to 23 April 2025 for further investigations.
