nbc Director General Stanley Similo met with leaders of political parties to discuss airtime coverage and election broadcasting for the November 2024 elections.

nbc will provide a total of 5,040 minutes of equal free airtime across TV, radio, and YouTube for all parties. Each party will receive 20 minutes of airtime on each of nbc's 11 radio stations, and nbc will cover three star rallies per party.

Political parties are required to submit scripts and logos by October 29, 2024, and the broadcasts will run from November 4th to 24th, with blackout days on November 25th and 26th. This effort ensures equal media representation during the election period.

Political parties are, however, at liberty to acquire paid airtime from the broadcaster outside the free airtime allocated.
