Election materials are being deployed at the Otavi Depot in the Otjozondjupa Region.

According to ECN Electoral Officer Victoria Amutenya, the region has 207 teams.

Today, materials for polling stations in the region's furthest areas, such as Okahandja, Tsumkwe, Okakarara, and Omatako, will be deployed.

Okakarara is made up of 40 teams; Tsumkwe 28, Okahandja 31, and Omatako 30.

The closer areas, i.e., Otjiwarongo with 28 teams, Grootfontein with 26, and Otavi with 19, will receive their materials on Tuesday.

Amutenya has confirmed that all team members employed by ECN showed up for deployment.

“Everything is fine logistically. We have all the vehicles for all our teams. In the region, we also have tables that we got from the community, and we also got enough chairs for the teams, so overall we are ready, and the other teams, Grootfontein, Otavi, and Otjiwarongo, will be deployed tomorrow, here from the depot. All the team members have turned up and all signed contracts yesterday. We are ready for Election Day,” said Amutenya.

The region has over 107,000 registered voters in all seven constituencies.
