The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) is mobilizing a demonstration scheduled for Wednesday, coinciding with an Electoral Court hearing. The demonstration aims to call on Namibians to stand in solidarity with their demand for a fair and transparent resolution to their legal challenge against the November 27, 2024, National Assembly election.

According to IPC's Khomas leadership, the protest seeks to amplify what the party describes as serious flaws in the electoral process.

The IPC, alongside the Landless People's Movement (LPM), has filed an application in the Electoral Court to nullify the election results. The two parties argue that the election was marred by irregularities, voter suppression, and disenfranchisement. They further contend that the President acted beyond his constitutional authority by extending voting days for select polling stations, a move they claim undermined the integrity of the process.

The case will be heard on January 15, 2025, before a full bench of three High Court judges in the Electoral Court. The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), the President, and the ruling Swapo Party oppose the application, defending the conduct and outcome of the election.
