President Nangolo Mbumba has applauded the seed development project, spearheaded by the Indonesian Embassy in collaboration with institutions of higher learning in both countries.

Indonesia's Ambassador, Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, outlined the intended objectives of the seed development project to President Mbumba during a farewell courtesy call at State House.

The seed development project was introduced to address the challenges Namibia faces due to persistent droughts.

Prolonged dry spells continue to threaten food security, and the seed development project is aiming to avert this by making crops drought-resistant.

The Indonesian diplomat is completing his posting to Namibia in four weeks.

Ambassador Wisnu Edi Pratignyo also provided an update to President Mbumba on some of the undertakings to strengthen bilateral cooperation during his tenure.
