UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed says the world body has proposed initiatives aimed at dealing with crises emanating from financial challenges.

Mohammed held brief discussions with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House, where she commended the Namibian leader's ascendancy to the highest office.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General was among the dignitaries who attended the inauguration and Independence Anniversary ceremony.
