Founded a year ago with the objective of transforming the lives of marginalised communities, the ZTT AME Church Ememe partnership project awarded education grants totalling about N$20,000 to 16 students to help support their academic dreams.

The grants ceremony was held on Saturday at Keetmanshoop.

The Ememe project founded by the ZTT AME Church congregation is based on pillars of education, mission, evangelism, management and economic empowerment.

Its primary objective is to uplift underprivileged communities.

AME Church Reverend Leslie Leukes, also serving as board chairman of the Ememe project, explained what the initiative's education pillar entails.

The Governor of the ||Kharas Region commended the project as exemplifying the spirit of concerted efforts necessary to bridge not only the gaps in the educational system but broader socio-economic development.

The presiding elder of the AME Church Keetmanshoop District, Reverend Albert Biwa, delivered the keynote message at the occasion.
