President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has encouraged all citizens to prioritise safety on Namibia's roads and obey traffic laws.
Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah made the appeal as the local Christian community and around the world observe the Easter weekend, starting on Friday.
The president also urged the citizens to steer clear of reckless driving and refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol in pursuit of overall responsibility to ensure a safe and joyful Easter weekend.
The Namibian leader extended heartfelt wishes for what she described as a peaceful and meaningful weekend filled with love, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
''It is a time to pause, draw closer to our loved ones, and appreciate the gift of life and togetherness. Let this season also inspire unity and compassion among all Namibians as we continue to build a just and inclusive society," said Nandi-Ndaitwah.
