President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says workers and employers are fundamental in driving the country’s economy forward.

She asserts that employers should not exploit workers, arguing that they should receive wages that lead to prosperity rather than mere survival.

She also pledged the government's continued support in ensuring excellent working conditions and fair wages for employees, citing that through the introduction of free tertiary education, the government aims to eliminate semi-skilled labour to foster a transformative economy geared towards economic emancipation.

The President made these remarks during the International Workers' Day commemoration held at Oshakati this morning.
