President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah paid homage to Zimbabwe’s fallen heroes and heroines by laying a wreath in their honour at the National Heroes Acre in Harare.
Among the liberation struggle stalwarts buried at the National Heroes Acre are Josia Magama Tongogara, Joshua Nkomo, and Sally Mugabe.
Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah, during an earlier meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa, remarked that Namibia and Zimbabwe’s relations were forged during the dark days of the struggle for independence.
She said the people of the two countries should not forget the sacrifices made and that collaboration continues to this day.
