The owner of the Marula Game Ranch, Russian billionaire Rashid Sardarov, has turned his promise into reality by building a state-of-the-art private school at one of his lodges in Dordabis.

Victoria Private School will cater for the children of Sardarov's general workers, as well as underprivileged children.

This ambitious project aims to provide a holistic education experience, with the school boasting a fully equipped clinic, a bakery, and sports facilities.

It will operate on a completely free-of-charge basis, including free meals, transport, and accommodation for teachers and staff, as well as extracurricular activities for the children.

Sardarov spoke about uniting the two nations, emphasising the philanthropic significance of the project.

Russian Professor Oleg Yastrebov announced a partnership between Victoria Private School and RUDN University.

According to this agreement, graduates from Victoria Private School will have the opportunity to pursue further studies in Moscow, Russia.

Deputy Education Minister Dino Balloti praised the project, noting how it further strengthens bilateral relations between Russia and Namibia and acknowledging Russia's significant role in Namibia's independence struggle.

Former Member of Parliament Uutoni Nujoma also expressed his appreciation for this transformative initiative.

The youngest member of the Sardarov family extended his well wishes and aspirations to the learners of the school.

The private school will cost the Sardarovs N$20 million annually.
