Cricket Namibia's vision of advancing athlete development has taken another major step forward with the opening of its High-Performance Hub to the public.
Cricket Namibia opened the doors of the new High-Performance Hub to the public, inviting visitors to experience the world-class gym facility, which is expected to play a critical role in strengthening the country's sporting talent.
Gym Manager Evert Laubscher said the facility has already surpassed expectations since its official launch and highlighted the commitment to ensuring it becomes a valuable tool in advancing Namibian sports.
Laubscher further emphasized the important role the High-Performance Hub will have in developing young and elite athletes across the country.
Players also welcomed the new facility. Under-19 National Cricket Team Captain Alex Volschenk shared his excitement, stating that having access to such high-quality facilities gives players more confidence and motivation to perform at their best.
The opening has even attracted officials from cricket clubs outside Windhoek, including Swakopmund Cricket Club Treasurer Alicia Kruger, who described the development as monumental for the cricket fraternity at large.
The HP Hub Open Weekend ran from Friday to Sunday, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the facility free of charge and be part of Cricket Namibia's vision of building a stronger, fitter sporting community.
