The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Stanley Benjamin Similo, was honoured by long-time friends and colleagues for his unwavering dedication to the national broadcaster and his evolution from a camera operator to the head of the institution.
Speaking during a tribute, Imms Namaseb praised Similo as the right man to lead the NBC, citing his vast institutional knowledge and passion for public broadcasting.
Another long-time friend, Vitura Kavari, reflected on Similo's path of growth, describing him as a "transformative person" and a natural leader.
Recalling Similo's move from the technical side into human resources and senior management roles, Kavari highlighted his adaptability and leadership beyond the newsroom.
