Landless People's Movement (LPM) Leader Bernadus Swartbooi has called on party members to lead society towards transformation and prosperity.
Swartbooi addressed a three-day national political training workshop.
The workshop seeks to strengthen leadership structures and prepare party members for the November elections.
It brought together branch executive members across the country.
"As we prepare for the elections of this country in November, under the theme of consolidating emancipatory leadership and enhancing transformative practice. Clearly, as the theme suggests, your leadership is required to emancipate yourself first and to emancipate others. And in this dual emancipation process, you will lead society towards shared transformation and shared prosperity," said Swartbooi.
Operative Secretary Dawid ≠Eigub called on party leaders to defend the movement's mission and lead with integrity.
"Defend – The first responsibility is to defend. The second is to consolidate our political footprint without retreat and without compromise. Allow me to state this prophetic declaration: No political weapon formed against the Landless Movement shall prosper."
The workshop further focuses on strengthening internal accountability, sustaining local structures, and broadening the party's support base ahead of the elections.
With elections looming, the LPM leadership reaffirmed its commitment to unity, strategic action, and principled leadership across all levels of the party.
