The Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced the death of Veueza Kandjii-Tjombonde, who died on Friday after collapsing at the pre-launch of the Namibian Women in Aviation initiative. 

Kandjii-Tjombonde served as the personal secretary to the executive director of the NCAA. 

Tjombonde was a well-known face in the aviation industry, having worked for Air Namibia and the Namibia Airports Company before she joined the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority. 

Tjombonde was also the deputy secretary general for the Ovaherero Traditional Authority.

She was also a pioneering actress after she featured in the film Tjipangandjara, created to showcase the authentic Ovaherero people's culture and heritage. 

She will be buried this weekend.
