The Dâure Daman Traditional Authority has called on youth under its jurisdiction to submit their names for a database to be compiled of unemployed youth who need opportunities.

In a media statement, the authority that is contested says it had been going about its business, conducting community consultations within the areas of its jurisdiction.

This is despite the Minister of Urban and Rural Development's position that its current chief had been appointed unprocedurally.

The traditional authority is also calling on all people who applied for communal land rights to be present in the area where they applied from 3rd to 5th September.

The land board will verify and allocate land accordingly.
