Jackson Kaujeua Junior, son of the iconic Namibian musician the late Jackson Kaujeua, died in Norway this morning after a long battle with cancer. He was aged 46.
The renowned second-generation folk and traditional music composer and singer had moved to Norway in the mid-2000s, where he performed at various live events around Europe.
Jackson Kaujeua Junior had built a musical legacy of his own, building on the legendary works of his father, Jackson Kaujeua Senior.
While announcing his death, his mother and three children said Kaujeua Junior died while surrounded by his loved ones in Halden, Norway, after his battle with cancer came to an end.
His last days, his family said, did not stop him from bringing out his humour and guitar.
