The Suiderhof Primary School Fun Walk took place yesterday in Windhoek, bringing together learners, parents, and teachers for a day of fitness, fun, and community bonding.
The day began with the main fun walk, where learners, parents, and teachers joined hands to complete a three-kilometre route from the school and back.
The walk set the tone for a day that was about more than just fundraising, encouraging fitness and togetherness among families.
The programme then shifted to a variety of activities, including rugby games between invited schools and fun sports such as netball, soccer, and tug-of-war.
Some parents highlighted how events like the Fun Walk help build stronger ties between schools and families while giving children a platform to showcase their talents.
Learners also expressed their joy and excitement about the day, saying the event was both fun and inspiring.
With the Fun Walk now in its latest edition, Suiderhof Primary School continues to show how sport and culture can bring communities together in support of education.
