Police in the Ohangwena Region have identified the remains of a man found at Oshalumbu village in the Okongo constituency as 36-year-old Nghitewa Nghiyalasha from Onamudidi village.
Reports indicate that the deceased had multiple gunshot wounds to the neck. Preliminary investigations suggest Nghiyalasha's remains were discarded by a white double-cab vehicle, possibly a GD-6 or D4D, on August 26 and discovered by a learner the following day.

Police urge anyone with information leading to the suspect's arrest or potential witnesses who saw the vehicle to come forward.
Ohangwena police regional commander Commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa said investigations continue and urged the public to provide information that can lead to a prompt arrest.
Anyone with information should contact Deputy Commissioner Mburuu at 081 802 3333, Chief Inspector Sibolile at 081 257 5320, or the nearest police station.
