Christmas came early for children living with cerebral palsy and their caregivers in Otjiwarongo, as the Omake Charity Organisation distributed food hampers valued at more than N$30,000 in partnership with FNB.
Established in 2018, Omake has been supporting children with cerebral palsy and other vulnerable groups since 2020.
Founder Eddy Kgobetsi said the gesture aims to honour caregivers and reassure the children that they are not forgotten.
The hampers, which included maize meal, pasta, sugar, toiletries, and other essentials, were handed over to 30 children and their caregivers.
The Otjiwarongo Municipality has allocated a plot to the charity organisation, where the handover event was hosted. The site will also house a soup kitchen and a counselling office to further support families in need.
