The Outjo Residents Association (ORA) hosted its Mega Star Rally at the Etoshapoort Stadium in Outjo.

The event showcased the association's vision, unveiled new community initiatives, and engaged residents on key local issues.

The association's candidates for the Outjo Local Authority were introduced as Pieter Mostert, Ole !Aibeb, Pieter Praetorius, Desmond ||Hoebeb, Pinky Richter, Adjani Passano, Deon Gaomub and the youngest candidate, Ivonne Gaingos.

ORA has endorsed independent candidate Koos Mazenge as its face.

"We want change for Outjo residents; service delivery has been nonexistent for 35 years, and the municipality's financial stability is also lacking. Additionally, political parties tend to recycle the same leadership without bringing real change, which is what we aim to achieve. Unlike these parties that are based in other towns, ORA is solely focused on Outjo," said Mazenge.

According to association candidate Pieter Mostert, the rally represents a major step forward for the town, as efforts intensify to improve local development and enhance communication between community leaders and residents.

"Your vote is like a bank card; for over 30 years, you have been withdrawing funds, but that bank has never delivered any results. Today, I want to encourage you to visit the ORA Bank, insert your card, vote wisely, and see if this bank will provide you with benefits. We have voted for too long. It's time to vote with your understanding, and you should vote for leaders who have you in mind."
