Voting in the Rehoboth Rural Constituency experienced network challenges, while some voters turned up with 2014 cards.
In the Kalkrand Constituency, close to 200 votes were cast in the morning, with the queues filled by senior citizens and the youth.
Among them were some from other constituencies.
Presiding Officer at the Kalkrand Recreation Centre, Wendy Izaaks, explained that people from other constituencies, such as Mariental Rural and Daweb Constituency, turned up.
"When I moved through the queues, I told them to go and vote in their constituencies”.
The Returning Officer for Kalkrand Local Authority, James Hansen, informed the NBC News team that they also experienced challenges from some political parties that did not nominate or appoint agents and only wanted to do it on Wednesday night against the requirements.
“Some of them, they send wrong information to their party officers, and I received a phone call from one of the political party head officers, and I explained the story to her, and she understood.”
Their role is to observe the election process on behalf of the party or candidate.
