United States (US) President Donald Trump says his administration will "permanently pause" migration from all countries to allow the United States to fully recover.

President Trump made the announcement as Americans observed the Thanksgiving holiday, stating that the millions of admissions made under the Biden administration would be terminated. 

He vowed to remove anyone who is not a net asset to the country.

The U.S. President added that federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens would be ended and promised to "denaturalise migrants who undermine domestic tranquillity" and deport any foreign national who is considered a security risk or incompatible with Western civilisation.

Trump said the goal of these measures is to achieve a major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through unauthorised processes.

He cited that only reverse migration can fully cure this situation.
