The |Khomanin Traditional Authority organised an early Christmas party for children at Kapps Farm.

The initiative, which started three years back, aims to create a good relationship between the community and the traditional authority while bringing joy to the little ones.

|Khomanin Traditional Authority, Senior Councillor Rudolph Witbeen, said, "Our sponsors are not many; it's maybe four or five that are always coming on board. So the challenge is that when you are going to purchase this, it's a little bit difficult."

The traditional authority is calling on anyone willing to help to join the initiative and provide any form of assistance.

"I feel grateful. Normally we don't get such things, and it feels good if people come out and they participate. These things help us a lot, so we are very grateful," said Renathe Haoses, a resident of Kapps Farm.

Meanwhile, the Kapps Farm community continues to face challenges in accessing basic services.

Another resident of Kapps Farm, Thelma Hoxobes, said, "This is the first time for something like this to happen, and we are very thankful, but we have a challenge here: we are only seen during elections. We survive here without water and electricity. A foreign donor from Germany is assisting us; they constructed this centre, and we are thankful."
