Housebreaking cases topped police crime reports from December 31 to January 4. Rape cases were also prominent, including one victim with an intellectual disability.
Police reported seven suicides, with victims ranging from 25 to 60 years old.
Eight rape cases were recorded. Victims included a 10-year-old girl, two 13-year-old girls, and a 19-year-old woman with an intellectual disability.
Police also recorded five murders, including that of Iikokola Village assistant headman Sam Nepando.
Other cases included six attempted murders, five culpable homicides, seven thefts, four stock thefts, and five robberies.
Additional cases comprised one fraud incident involving N$62,700 in Aranos through betting and two drug dealing cases valued at N$30,000 and N$8,000, respectively.
