As the country continues with the nationwide polio vaccination, nurses in the Oshana Region are calling on parents and guardians to heed the call for immunisation by taking children under the age of 10 years to the nearest vaccination point.
Speaking to the MICT Oshana team during the site visits, Lahja Ndapuka, a polio mobiliser, explained that polio is a virus that attacks the lower and upper limbs and causes paralysis.
She said it is important for the children to be vaccinated and be protected from the polio virus.
The parents and guardians show their gratitude toward the government for coming up with the nationwide polio vaccination.
