The Swapo Party in the Omaheke Region has elected Raphael Mokaleng as the Information and Mobilisation Officer at its extraordinary conference.

He replaces Liberius Kalili, who became the Councillor of Gobabis Constituency.

Mokaleng and Vinicius Karabo initially contested the election. However, Karabo subsequently withdrew from the race, leaving Mokaleng as the sole candidate for the position.

Mokaleng held the position of Treasurer before his new appointment. 

Mokaleng accepted the appointment, stating that his mission is straightforward: to reconnect and re-energise the party at the regional level. 

Swapo Party Leader Assigned to Omaheke, John Mutorwa, reminded the party leaders to work hard and advance the party's agenda.
