The Miss Namibia Top 10 finalists are currently on a 12-day excursion in the Omaheke Region, where they are engaging with communities.
While the Miss Namibia pageant is often associated with glitz and glamour, the Top 10 finalists' visit to the Omaheke Region is also highlighting the important role beauty queens play in uplifting and giving back to communities.
In support of the initiative, Miss Namibia sponsor Top Score donated maize meal that they will distribute to various communities.
Miss Namibia National Director Beaulah Boois-Beukes said the village drive will also give the finalists an opportunity to learn more about the different cultures and traditions within the Omaheke Region.
Junior Brand Manager at Namib Mills, Shaniqua Hein, stated that the company chose to donate Top Score maize meal to local communities around Gobabis because these individuals have consistently supported the brand over the years.
Hein noted the collaboration marks the beginning of what the company hopes will become a long-term partnership with the Miss Namibia brand.
