The One Run Half Marathon is set to host another international sporting event as part of its 10th global edition, taking place across selected countries.
With just seven days remaining, the One Run Namibia Half Marathon 2026 forms part of the global initiative, offering runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in one of the world’s international running events.
Participants can choose between the 1km, 5km, 10km and 21km races in celebration of healthy living, fitness and unity among athletes worldwide.
This year, the One Run Half Marathon has attracted participation from 30 countries and around 250,000 runners globally.
For more details on the upcoming event, NBC Sport spoke to Jackson Da Silva, the marketing promoter for One Run Namibia.
“One Run Namibia is an annual half-marathon aimed at uniting communities around the world under the theme ‘One World, One Future, One Run’. Through the event, people can network, socialise and build lasting partnerships. We are grateful to the Municipality of Swakopmund, Athletics Namibia and the Namibia Sports Commission for supporting the marathon,” Da Silva said.
Da Silva said participants stand a chance of receiving T-shirts, medals, race goody bags, and other items.
“Participants stand a chance to receive T-shirts, medals, race goody bags and other items. We encourage runners worldwide, especially in Namibia, to join One Run Namibia for the benefit of all,” he added.
The running event will take place simultaneously across all participating countries.
In Namibia, the race is scheduled for 23 May at the Tennis Court parking area on Tobias Hainyeko Street, next to the Strand Hotel in Swakopmund, Erongo Region.
