Prime Minister Dr Elijah Ngurare has urged new graduates to use their newly acquired skills to further advance their cause for self-development.
He made the remarks during the graduation ceremony of Triumphant College today.
"Remember that education is a public good, as it teaches the needs and wants of individuals. It serves the needs, rather. And it goes to do good for humanity. It is gratifying when I see so many young people here who are graduating. I urge you to continue, be hungry, and be thirsty for research and development. Because these are essential drivers for economic growth, technological advancement and improving quality of life through solutions in key areas of health, food security, water, and energy."
Ngurare said the future of the graduates is in their own hands, emphasising that there should be no room for underperformance.
The 2026 graduates received certificates, diplomas, and degrees in various fields, including computer science, education, engineering and legal studies, amongst others.
Graduate and SRC President of Triumphant College, who was also amongst the graduates on the day, Morres Samuel, highlighted the efforts of his fellow graduates and of their parents in supporting their cause.
"There will be rejection, delays, closed doors, and moments of doubt. But do not stop. Because success does not belong to the most comfortable people, it belongs to the people who keep moving forward, even when things get hard. To our parents, guardians, and family, and especially to my mother here today, thank you. This achievement belongs to you, too. Your sacrifices carried us to this stage. Your prayers strengthened us. Your belief in us kept us going."
