The Windhoek bowling community is currently hosting its annual National Bowling Week, with more than 80 participants taking part in the competition.
The tournament is being hosted by all three bowling clubs in Windhoek, namely United Bowling Club, Eros Bowling Club, and Windhoek Bowling Club.
The games, which started on Saturday, will see players competing throughout the week in singles, pairs, triples, fours, and mixed teams.
According to Bowling Association President Diana Viljoen, the event has attracted a large number of participants from across the country.
Willie Esterhuizen said the sport of bowling requires discipline and physical fitness from players who want to compete at a high level.
Participants also spoke about their experience at this year's Bowling Week, describing the tournament as competitive.
The Bowling Week is set to continue tomorrow at Eros Bowling Club and Windhoek Bowling Club, where 24 teams are expected to compete in the mixed teams event, with losing teams eliminated in each round.
