The ||Kharas Governor's Youth Desk has equipped young people in Keetmanshoop with leadership and financial literacy training meant to prepare them to take on active roles in their communities.
The facilitator of the training, Reymond Freyer, told NBC News that the training was designed to deepen the understanding of participants on leadership, promote volunteerism and expose them to opportunities within the ||Kharas Governor's Youth Desk.
"We anticipate that this training will make the youth understand the purpose of leadership and the roles of leadership better. We are also focusing on volunteerism and allowing them to understand what the opportunities and benefits of being volunteers in the governor's youth desk are."
Some participants said this training will equip them with practical skills to become better leaders and make informed financial decisions.
