Various world leaders voiced support for the U.S.-Iran peace deal announced by President Donald Trump on Sunday.

The peace deal is raising hopes of lower energy prices and greater stability across the Middle East after months of conflict.

Trump said the agreement was "complete", although the signing is slated for June 19 in Switzerland.

He also said he had authorised the toll-free reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the removal of the U.S. naval blockade, while Iranian officials said there would be a release of billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets.

The agreement drew swift reactions from some world leaders, with many urging both sides to follow through on implementation and secure a lasting settlement.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed India's hope that the implementation of the agreement will help restore stability and ensure the freedom of navigation.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged for caution in the period leading up to its formal signing while thanking Pakistan for its mediation efforts and praised support from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on X praised the importance of restoring maritime traffic through one of the world's busiest shipping routes, saying freedom of navigation must be restored toll-free.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry applauded the commitment shown by both Washington and Tehran to pursue negotiations as well as international efforts that helped reduce tensions and bring the parties together, culminating in the deal.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said implementation of the memorandum of understanding would now be crucial and signalled support for the technical talks expected to follow to finalise the elements of the nuclear agreement.

The African Union called for continued advancement of efforts for lasting cooperation in the Middle East and beyond.
