A former learner of Nomtsoub Primary School, Bennett ||Khaibeb has called on fellow alumni to give back to the school.

The school is in dire need of additional classrooms and an assembly hall.

Situated in Tsumeb, Nomtsoub Primary School has produced many successful individuals who are making meaningful contributions to society.

However, with nearly one thousand learners, extra classrooms are needed as a matter of urgency.

Augei-Khas Sea Products Partner, ||Khaibeb therefore called on all alumni to join hands to assist the school.

The company donated N$60.000 towards the completion of two unfinished classrooms at the school.

"A N$200 from a thousand children that went through Nomtsuob Primary School times 6 months. Those with mathematics can calculate, and that can kick-start the further development of this school if I can give you figures. It amounts to N$1.2 million."

In efforts to encourage academic excellence, ||Khaibeb  donated N$500 to be a reward to top-performing learners.

Nomtsoub Primary School also launched a development fundraising campaign aimed at addressing infrastructure challenges, including an assembly hall.

Patron of Nomtsoub Primary School, Engel Nawatiseb, adds, "As you can see, learners gather under the tree for all our formal school activities, be it the morning devotions, parents' meetings, gathering of teachers and learners and even visitors when they come to the school. We have nowhere to receive them; we bring them here under the trees."

Nomtsoub Primary School's headgirl, Tia Khoeses, cemented Nawatiseb's sentiments.

"During morning devotions we stand under the harsh weather; whether it's cold or hot, we need a hall for events because when we have events at school we normally go to other schools to make use of their halls."

Learner at Nomtsoub Primary School, Frans Tuhemwe, reiterates, "90% of other classrooms are having a lot of learners, more than 45 or above 50, so we need the classrooms to help some learners get space for them to learn more about their education and be passionate about what they need to do in life."
