The Okakarara Secondary School has won the Mr Ujaha Annual Mathematics Competition held at Waterberg Junior Secondary School. 

To encourage learners in the Okakarara constituency to develop a passion for and enhance their skills in mathematics, the annual mathematics competition named after Mr Ujaha was introduced last year.

Okakarara Secondary School took the victory from Waterberg Junior Secondary School, which won the competition last year. 

Waterberg Junior Secondary School Principal Jackson Kazetjikuria stated that the competition was established to preserve the legacy of the late mathematics teacher, Mr Ujaha, who died approximately four years ago. 

Principal Kazetjikuria said some schools did not turn up for the competition, as expected, and he called for Mr Ujaha's annual mathematics competition to be extended to all secondary schools in the Otjozondjupa region. 

The main sponsor of Mr Ujaha's annual mathematics competition is FNB Namibia's Okakarara Branch.
