US President Donald Trump said Iran wouldn't be 'charging' for the use of the Strait of Hormuz – and that he wouldn't let them 'take charge' – as he spoke from the White House in DC on Monday.

It came following a war of words with Tehran – after Trump claimed talks were happening and the Iranians said that they weren't. The US leader called them 'unbelievably duplicitous'.

"It has to be. I'm not going to let them charge. If anybody's going to charge, we'll charge. We're the ones that have total control. We have total control. You know, we have a thing called a blockade with his navy. And that navy, they call it a wall of steel, the United States wall of steel. And no, no, there's not going to be charging. We're not talking about charging at all. There won't be charging."
