The Keetmanshoop Town Council has visited RoshSkor Township to strengthen relations in areas of local authority governance.  

RoshSkor is privately owned by Rosh Pinah Mine and Skorpion Zinc Mine and provides municipal services to the mining town of Rosh Pinah. 

The town's application to be granted a town status is still pending. 

Mayor of Keetmanshoop, Emrico Blaauw, and Manager of RoshSkor Township, Richard Cook, had this to say. 

"Who knows when Roshkor will also be declared a town? And already, we will have that partnership going on. We can see how we can assist each other. Since you will be the newborn and we are in the system already, and that is what we are looking for. And that is the reason for our visit."

"We will always welcome anyone coming around, giving the support as you already do. You know, once we are proclaimed part of the Namibian government. Then we would need that support, whether it is in economic development, financial management, land matters, or whatever. Already if we put up our hands to us now, we can just really say thank you."
