The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation's (NBC) board of directors and Director General also visited the Pohamba residence in Windhoek to offer their condolences.
The NBC has been broadcasting the memorial services live, and its board chairman Lazarus Jacobs said the idea was to keep Namibians informed and honour the life and contribution of the former First Lady.
"And so, as an NBC, as an NBC, as an institution, we really will go out of our way to make sure that Meh Peni, as she was affectionately, will get dignified coverage of who she was as a person. And just that they were talking to somebody who was a bit young and asking, I did not know this about her. And there was, based on the programmes that were covered on NBC."
The NBC has documented the late former First Lady Penehupifo Pohamba's public life, from her tenure between 2005 and 2015 to her work in healthcare, women's empowerment and the liberation struggle.
The archive reflects a couple who stood side by side through years of public service.
Today, those images contrast with former President Hifikepunye Pohamba mourning the loss of his wife.
