Worshippers will gather at Dr. Hage Geingob Stadium this Saturday for the much-anticipated 4th edition Restoration Concert.
Beyond the music and worship, the concert seeks to raise funds for the Never Walk Alone Project, aimed at buying school leather shoes for vulnerable children.
The concert will feature renowned gospel ministers and worship leaders, including South Africa's Benjamin Dube, Nigeria's GUC, and Zimbabwe's Michael Mahendere, alongside a line-up of local gospel artists and ministers.
Organisers promise an uplifting atmosphere of worship, bringing together believers in a celebration of faith and praise.
Last year's concert attracted approximately ten thousand attendees, with organisers aiming to double that number this year.
Dr. Nangula Mbako-Shishanda is the spokesperson of the Project Never Walk Alone.
"The restoration concert is obviously more than a music concert. It's a sign of restoring hope; it's a sign of restoring dignity and bringing restoration. Of course it's under Project Never Walk Alone, and the aim for Project Never Walk Alone is restoring hope and dignity to barefooted Namibian children, and that's providing them with Namibian-made shoes, and we're just extending that so that we can restore the hope through gospel music."
Established in 2023, the concert has grown over the years and contributed to restoring hope to thousands of school-going children in need of school shoes in various regions of the country.
"I just want to say to Namibians that we are here for a purpose you might not have known your purpose yet; however, you're here to serve someone else. We're here as an answer to the prayers of other people, and that's what Project Never Walk Alone is all about. That's what the restoration concert is all about, so please join us, and let's make change together."
Ticket holders will be allowed to access free bus transportation at various pickup points.
The buses will depart from designated areas at 15h00 and return from the stadium at 23h00.
