The former Governor of the Ohangwena Region, Usko Nghaamwa, has encouraged the business community to take the uncommon route to contribute to the development and growth of the country's economy.
Officiating at the Ohandje Business Expo, Nghaamwa emphasized that business people should direct their business ideas to the hard-hitting routes and the most challenging industries.
The well-established businessman and former governor of Ohangwena said most business people do not initiate ideas but imitate their associates in the most crowded industries, resulting in failure.
Nghaamwa further urged upcoming businesses to develop networks with experts and captains of industries to gain knowledge and to seize opportunities in the manufacturing sector for international markets given abundant local raw materials.
He applauded the Ohandje community for initiating the platform for local businesses to market and sell their products, saying the initiative is moving in the right direction, toward the rehabilitation of the business model in Oshikango.
