The Welwitschias lost their opening November tour game against Spain, which was played in Madrid on Saturday.

The boys in blue found themselves trailing 12 -0 before fullback Cliven Loubser crossed the whitewash, converting his own try from in-front of the post.

The Spanish, who are ranked 16th globally, continued their dominance and kept increasing their lead, while the Namibians only manged one more unconverted try through lock Johan Retief - crashing over from driving maul.

Meanwhile, Loubser slotted a 3-pointer to take Namibia's tally to 15. The final score was Spain 34 Namibia 15.

Namibia will face Canada this weekend in their final November tour match.
