The Ministry of Health and Social Services, in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of Namibia, launched its MenStar strategy.

The strategy aims to encourage men to seek help with health issues and be agents of change.

In addition, the strategy aims to improve the involvement of men in HIV and AIDS, break the cycle of HIV, help men fight HIV, and empower men to end infections.

The MenStar strategy will create platforms that will promote and support engagement and dialogue on HIV/AIDS awareness.

The Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr Utjiua Muinjangue, says since 2002, the health ministry has been implementing various service delivery programs to reach out to all people living with HIV.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Namibia County Director, Brain Baker, says that they support men in caring for their own health.
